We take pride in having a team that is not only knowledgeable and hardworking, but also compassionate, professional, and genuinely committed to providing the best service possible. Here’s a closer look at the talented individuals who make our shop what it is today.

Cecil, Master Technician & Shop Foreman
Cecil has been an integral part of Mark’s Auto Repair since 2014 and is an ASE Certified Master Technician. A graduate of Skagit Valley College’s Diesel Power Technology program, he brings extensive experience from working with heavy equipment, welding, fabrication, towing, and dealership service (Dodge, Chevrolet). His diverse background and diagnostic skills make him one of the top technicians on Whidbey Island. As a shop foreman, Cecil mentors less-experienced technicians, keeps operations running smoothly, and takes pride in providing clear and customer-focused service. We are truly thankful to have Cecil on our team - his expertise, professionalism, and dedication are a big part of what makes Mark’s Auto Repair one of the best shops on the island.

Frank, Technician
Frank has been a technician for 10 years, with 6 spent here at Mark’s Auto Repair. He is a Certified Tire Technician and has also earned his ASE certifications. Known for being helpful, professional, and highly knowledgeable, he fits seamlessly into our culture of excellence, quality, and growth. We are glad to have August on board - his commitment and drive make him a strong asset to our shop.

Ryann, Senior Service Advisor
Ryann has been part of the Mark’s Auto Repair team since 2016 and has grown with our business through the many positive changes over the years. Before becoming a service advisor, she worked as a parts specialist at a local parts store, which gave her valuable technical knowledge she now uses every day to help our customers. At the front desk and on the phone, Ryann guides customers through the repair process with clarity and compassion - from gathering information, to explaining needed repairs, and presenting options that best fit their needs and budgets. Her background as a certified nursing assistant taught her patience, empathy, and excellent communication skills, which shine in her customer interactions. We’re fortunate to have Ryann representing our shop with such care and professionalism.

Skyler, Service Advisor
Skyler is the newest member of our service advising team and brings a strong background in both repair and parts to his role. He began his career as a technician with Ford and Dodge before transitioning into the parts department, where he became Dodge Parts Master Certified, as well as Chevrolet and Ford Parts Certified. While working for various dealerships, Skyler also managed inventory systems to ensure parts availability and smooth workflow. Now at Mark’s Auto Repair, he is working under Ryann’s guidance to provide excellent service and support for our customers. We value Skyler being a part of our shop - his experience, adaptability, and customer-first approach make him a solid addition to our group.

Aggie, Owner & Operator
Aggie has been part of Mark’s Auto Repair since its inception on 1/1/2003. In the early days, she focused on bookkeeping and tax preparation, but her role has since grown to overseeing daily operations and future business planning. Born and raised in Poland, she has lived in the U.S. since 1995 and proudly served for 5 years in the U.S. Navy at NAS Whidbey Island. After her service, Aggie earned an MBA and built a diverse career that included roles in medical transcription and human resources at WhidbeyHealth, and substitute paraeducation with the Oak Harbor School District. These experiences gave her the foundation to help Mark’s Auto Repair reach its full potential. Her passion is twofold: creating an outstanding experience for every customer and fostering a supportive and positive workplace for her staff. Guided by the belief that people come before profits, Aggie’s goal is simple - make Mark’s Auto Repair the best place to work for and the best shop to bring your vehicle to.

Mark, Man Behind the Shop Name
From an early age, Mark had a natural love for mechanics and fixing things. He was endlessly curious, often taking apart radios, lawn mowers, and motors just to see how they worked. His professional career began in Colorado, where he worked for several dealerships and independent shops before becoming an ASE Certified Master Technician with numerous manufacturer certifications, including Ford, Subaru, and Chevrolet. Mark thrived on the toughest challenges, taking pride in troubleshooting the jobs no one else could solve.
In 2003, Mark and his wife Aggie opened Mark’s Auto Repair - first working from home, and, later expanding into town, before moving to the shop’s current location. Mark poured his heart into building a place where customers felt welcome, respected, and confident they would receive honest advice. He loved his craft, but even more, he loved the people he served - always taking time to explain repairs and ensure trust. Though he passed away in 2019, his values of honesty, fairness, and quality remain the foundation of our business today. Mark’s legacy continues to live on in the shop he built and in the community he cared for so deeply. ❤️

Heinz, Chief Happiness Officer
Heinz is the newest member of Mark’s Auto Repair, and we’re delighted to have him in the shop. Belonging to Cecil and Ryann, he happily comes to work each day and has quickly become a favorite among staff and customers. Mellow and sweet-natured, Heinz enjoys hanging out with the crew, greeting visitors, and of course, getting treats and belly rubs. With his polite manners and ability to brighten even the toughest days, he truly lives up to his role as our Chief Happiness Officer. Stop by and say hello—Heinz will be thrilled to meet you! 🐾
